A former Sweetbay Supermarket in Valrico!

Kash n' Karry #1837/Sweetbay Supermarket #1837/Navigator Academy

1101 E Bloomingdale Ave, Valrico, FL.

Originally opened in 1997 as Kash n' Karry #1837 and converted to Sweetbay Supermarket in 2005. Later closed on February 28, 2009 due to underperformance. After 10 years of vacancy, a charter school called Navigator Academy opened in mid-2019.

What used to be the main entrance into Sweetbay Supermarket. It appears that vandals must have broke in to the store, so you are seeing lots of plywood.

This Kash n' Karry/Sweetbay also had a liquor store at the left side of the building.

And here is the same store back when Kash n' Karry was in business.

This store had two entrances, one at the middle of the store and another to the right of customer service. A labelscar saying "Sweetbay Pharmacy" is visible above.

To the right is a store closing notice from 2009, directing shoppers to go to Winn-Dixie #2499, Winn-Dixie #2475, or they could have just went up the road to Publix #315 or Winn-Dixie #676!

Straight ahead is the former secondary entrance.

Peeking through the broken glass, we can see Sweetbay's interior from 2005! To the left would have been customer service and at the back of the store was the bakery, seafood, and meat sections.
