Interstate 275: Exit 44, Downtown Tampa (North)

INTERSTATE 275 NORTHBOUND (EXIT 44): The first mileage sign that shows Downtown Tampa is at mile marker 39 or 40. Exits for Armenia Ave/Howard Ave (Exit 42) and I-4 East (Exit 45B) are shown here. Downtown Tampa (Exit 44) is in 1.5 miles from this sign. Interstate 4 (Exit 45B) is in 2.5 miles. In recent news, the Florida DOT wants to create 12 lanes on each side of I-4 to fix "Malfunction Junction". That is a total of 24 lanes of traffic. Exit 44 is in 1 mile, and Exit 45B for I-4 East is in 2 miles. Exit Only signs appear here. For Downtown East, use the second from the right lane. For Downtown West, use the far right lane (Exit Only lane). This is the final opportunity for exit 44 towards Downtown Tampa. Located 1000 feet from the museum, is this 5 floor, 932 space parking garage. Clearance is 7 feet maximum. Level 2 connects the parking garage to the Straz Center, via this walkway. Unrelated to the parking garage or museum, are new bike lanes installed on Cass Street in Tampa. Glazer Children's Museum 110 W. Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, FL Opened in 2010.
