Publix and Winn-Dixie in Lake Mary!

Publix Gourmet Plus #360/Gooding's of Lake Mary/Winn-Dixie #2380
120 International Parkway South, Lake Mary, FL

Opened in 1989 as a test location for "Publix Gourmet Plus" (store #360), and featured brass shopping carts, terrazzo flooring, and a European-style bakery. Due to the store's high prices and low sales, Publix closed this store in 1991 and later became a Gooding's supermarket, which lasted until the purchase by Winn-Dixie Stores in 2000.

Some Publix elements remain, such as the store's high ceilings around the grocery department, and the light fixtures located above the checkouts.

The inside of store #2380. The angled light above is from this store's days as a Publix. The deli is to the left, and the checkouts are straight ahead.

The section with warehouse ceilings was done in the 2014 remodel. This used to be a section of ice cream and the bakery.

More of the produce department and floral. The part where you see the drop ceiling is the 1988 part of the store.

Frozen foods, produce, wine/beer, and the bakery appear here.

A frozen foods aisle in the original part of the store. This is aisle 10.

Again, the angled ceiling is from the Publix era. There are a total of 9 checkouts in this store, including self lanes.

Checkout lane 3, and the customer service desk.

The rear side of the store's checkouts. If you look closely, you can see the high ceilings around grocery, a feature in most 1980's built Publix stores.

Let's move on to the former 1990's Winn-Dixie!

Winn-Dixie #2295 opened in 1996. Coexisted with the Winn-Dixie on International Parkway until this store's closure in 2005. Publix #1127 opened in 2007, 16 years after the former Publix Gourmet Plus closed.

The outside of this store mostly retains it's original Winn-Dixie look.

The deli department, seating area, and the specialty cheese counters appear here. This was from the store's 2016 remodel.

Going back to 2008, here we are in the deli! Located to the right of the deli, are sitting tables, where you can eat an item specifically from the deli only.

"WORLD CHEESES" may represent the specialty cheese counter in store 1127.

From 2014, this is the store's produce department before the latest remodel.

The squared lights are from when this store was a Winn-Dixie.

The same department as seen after the latest remodels.

A grocery aisle.

Aisle 10.

Probably seen from the end of aisle 11, is the store's dairy department.

Our final photo from Yelp.com is the store's last aisle, aisle 11. Also shown are display cases.
